What you'll get

This series shows you how to internalize rhythm, flow, and harmony from the very first note — so you connect with the music itself, not just the sheet.

Through harmonic and melodic outlining, you’ll learn to sense the energy and shape of a tune before diving into details. Once you add the notes, everything falls naturally into place — fluid, confident, and musical.

  • Capture the rhythm and movement of a tune right from the start

  • Build simple harmonic and melodic outlines that reveal form and structure

  • Practice more musically, less mechanically

  • Apply it all to Bill Evans’ “Waltz for Debby”, exploring its harmonic beauty and rhythmic grace
